Canterbury Horse Rescue

The Trustees of Canterbury Horse Rescue are desperately looking for urgent funds for the day to day running of the horse centre.

More equines are being abandoned or neglected today due to financial pressures, repossession of properties, debts etc. but they have now completely run out of funds and they are using their emergency funds that will not go far with rent and daily bills to pay.

They currently have 22 horses in care at their Centre in Faversham, the only registered welfare rescue charity for the South East, and they also run a service to the community scheme for disadvantaged persons totally funded by the Centre.

The normal sources of funding have not been successful due to the current economic climate and the charity is faced with the imminent prospect of having to close its doors to all future equine welfare work and to abandon its important community work.
