Admission for builders and associated trades will be just £11 with a voucher which will be available on trade counters nearer the time at builder's merchants and suppliers within a 40 mile radius of the racecourse, so look out for those! 2012 sees the running of the ‘Folkestone Hammer'. This is a six furlong handicap for three year olds and upwards rated 0-85 with a total prize fund of £15,000. It is Folkestone's richest flat race of the year, and is sure to be a fiercely contested event. Not only will speed have to be at the fore but the ability to cope with Folkestone's unique undulations, testing the horse's balance and coordination to the maximum. Hammer is going to be the operative word as from the off the horses will be going hammer and tongs to the wire. The RMCTF is the overarching Royal Marine charity and money raised can be used for very wide purposes, probably the widest of any service charity.
